About This Program

This BRAIN Initiative program funds exploratory research projects using invasive neural recording and stimulating technologies to investigate how neuronal activity in the human brain generates sensory and internal states. Multi-disciplinary teams can apply to conduct high-impact human neuroscience investigations through intracranial procedures.
