About This Program

Funds replacement of high-emitting diesel vehicles and equipment with cleaner alternatives in Texas non-attainment areas, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks, school buses, and off-road construction equipment.

Key Requirements & Eligibility

  • 1Equipment must primarily operate in a Texas non-attainment or near-non-attainment area
  • 2Must replace a diesel vehicle or piece of equipment meeting age and emission criteria
  • 3Eligible replacements: electric, hydrogen, CNG, propane, or Tier 4 diesel equipment
  • 4Grant covers up to 80% of incremental cost above conventional diesel equivalent
  • 5Must submit application through TCEQ's TERP Online System
