About This Program

Loans, grants, and loan-grant combinations for broadband infrastructure in rural areas lacking sufficient access to at least 100 Mbps symmetrical speeds, targeting unserved and underserved communities.

Key Requirements & Eligibility

  • 1Service area must be rural (non-urban) with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants
  • 2At least 90% of households in service area must lack 100/100 Mbps service
  • 3Funded infrastructure must provide minimum 100/20 Mbps service
  • 4Grants available up to $25M; loans up to $25M; combo awards available
  • 5Priority for areas with highest need and lowest existing broadband penetration
